From May 13 to 15, 2023, participants will go through three-hour long introduction workshops with choreographers of the ensembles 420PEOPLE, BURKICOM, DEKKADANCERS, FARM IN THE CAVE and LENKA VAGNEROVÁ & COMPANY. They will get to know their way of working, collaborate with them on a specific assignment and get feedback from them. The exchange will also include a casting for a new project of the Farma v jeskyni ensemble and the possibility to participate in future projects of other ensembles. The event is open only to professional dancers, graduates and students of dance schools selected on the basis of a CV they submitted and their movement demonstration video.

Entrance fee: 160 EUR (Early Birds / for registrations before April 20, the fee is 140 EUR).

Networking basecamp
„We will eat what we have baked.“
A networking programme aimed at the development of creative activity, collaboration and international opportunities; with the participation of ensemble leaders and promoters from several European countries. Lectures, discussions, case studies, open workshops.

How does a booker, promoter or dance house director think? What is important in the field of European dance today? How is the Czech scene perceived abroad? How is the world of theatre different from the world of dance? How about the audience? Moderated discussion with international guests. Open to the expert community. To artists, ensembles, theatres, festivals, cultural managers, journalists.

Moderated workshops with representatives of theatres, festivals, but also promoters and marketing specialists from the field of theatre, dance and beyond. What is the Czech dance scene missing? What prevents us from growing? How to cooperate? Elaboration of topics, work in groups. We will certainly not find brilliant solutions, but maybe we will discover our own shortcomings and move forward together. Open to the expert community.

About
A joint project of leading Czech contemporary dance and physical theatre companies 420PEOPLE, BURKICOM, DEKKADANCERS, FARM IN THE CAVE and LENKA VAGNEROVÁ & COMPANY.
Five contemporary dance and physical theatre companies came together to present and start talking about the topic of the long-term status, sustainability, collaboration and development of contemporary dance and physical theatre in the international context. Bread&Dance Prague will offer an open approach, presentations of the latest projects, workshops with choreographers and discussions on international networking.
